Paul A Young – chocolatier extraordinaire!
Paul A Young and his team make all their creations completely by hand in the kitchens at each shop (listed below) in small batches and at every stage using fresh ingredients. With a background in the catering industry – including working for Marco Pierre White as his head pastry chef, Paul gradually migrated into chocolate -leading to him opening his first chocolate shop in Islington in 2006.
He’s won LOADS of awards including “Best filled chocolate – caramel”, “best flavoured dark bar”, “best dark truffle”, “World’s Best Chocolate Book” in 2010 and “best hot chocolate – flavoured” If you want great chocolate Paul is the person to go to!
We had the privilege of trying out a small selection representative of what you would get in the Chocolate Club box (see below for details) and although there wasn’t a list of which choc was which – we loved every single one and will be visiting the shop to see if we can pick up some of our favourites! Definitely on the list is a salted caramel – you get this loads in France which is Fleur du Sel Caramel but it’s rare to find salted caramel in the UK and it’s so wonderful!
