Last year’s Apprentice winner launches skincare range

We were delighted at Simply Woman to hear that Susan Ma, 2011 Apprentice winner has finally launched her skincare range.  She was a great contestant and always spoke with great passion about her humble beginnings and developing her brand – Tropic Skincare.  Now with Lord Sugar’s bucks and expertise behind her – the sky is the limit for Susan.  We are also really pleased that she hasn’t gone down the mass production route and has remained true to her roots by delivering a range that is cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Following years of research and hard work, the former Apprentice star has applied her passion, determination and entrepreneurial flair to her business and developed a range of natural and affordable skincare products that has received investment from the ultimate business partner, Lord Sugar.

Since 2005, when Susan discovered her love for beauty products and began combining ingredients and scents at her kitchen table to sell at Greenwich market, the range has gone from strength to strength. The recent investment from Lord Sugar has enabled Susan to further develop both the products and packaging, creating a range that is pure, honest and effective.

With eight products, ranging from the Smoothing Cleanser to the Eye Revive Firming Nourishing Cream, the entire Tropic Skincare range is cruelty free, vegan friendly and packed with 100% plant derived proteins, antioxidants and vitamins that keep skin nourished and hydrated.

After completing many cosmetic making courses, Susan wanted to create a range that really delivers glowing skin, but not at the cost of chemicals or genetically-engineered ingredients.

Susan says. ‘Skincare has always been my passion, right from the early days of mixing and experimenting with new formulas in the kitchen with my mum and selling them in Greenwich market. I am so excited about the new and improved Tropic Skincare range as it really fills a gap in the market for effective but affordable natural skincare.’
