Nottage Hill Chardonnay 2011, 13% abv
A full bodied dry wine with tropical and melon flavours. We found a lingering overtone of mild oak on the tongue. Highly drinkable on its own, but why not accompany it with a white meats dish this Sunday? Retails at around £7.99 from main supermarkets
Hardys Crest Brut Rose, 11.5% abv
This is a pale strawberry coloured sparkling wine made from both red and white grapes. The wine boasts a bouquet of crisp red fruit, and is an easy drinking number. STOWELLS CABERNET MERLOT, 13.5% ABV
This is a Chilean wine, promising a rich experience with a hint of spice. Described as smooth, mellow and fruity. Top notes of blackcurrant fade into a hint of mint. Will perfectly accompany a roast red meat dish such as lamb. Retails at around £7.99 from main supermarkets
Both Hardys and Nottage Hill are famous Australian brands managed in the UK by the Accolade Wines Group. The great British House started in 1878 by Frederick Stowell in London produces Stowells, formerly Stowells of Chelsea. This wine merchants previously supplied to HM Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Codorníu Selección Raventós Brut, 11.5% abv
Made from 50% Chardonnay and 50%, Macabeo grapes, this cava is named after Josep Raventós who produced the first ever bottle of Cava in 1872. It has intense aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and apple pair especially well with smoked salmon canapés and will complement an Easter brunch perfectly.
