Get Bra Fit For Summer

In our second article (see the first here) our reviewer, who wears a size 36GG, tested three sports bras designed for the bustier woman. These bras also feature wide,adjustable straps plus ‘breathable’ fabric that wicks moisture away from the body, allowing you to feel fresher after exercise.

The first thing we noticed is ‘missing’ middle hook from the 3-hook back closure. Initially it appeared support would be lost, but this ‘omission’ allows is greater freedom of movement in the upper body. The boobs fall easily into the non padded, multi panel cups, and a double layer of fabric extending sideways from the cleavage panel provides additional support. During jogging and gym mat exercises such as rolling and bending we found the boobs stayed in place, and experienced no rubbing or chafing. Our verdict? Described as a medium coverage, high performance bra, this upgraded model features softer, more rounded cups that eliminate ‘pointiness,’ making you appear a cup size smaller. We found fantastic support when jogging, no doubt due to the four-hook closure, which grips the ribcage yet allows easy breathing. However, this bra wasn’t so suitable for yoga and mat exercises due to its ‘rigidity’ restricting movement in the upper body. Our verdict? A top choice for high impact activities. Comfort and performance is assured, in addition to the attention to detail and styling expected from this brand. Available in 28-40 B to H cup, RRP £38.00.

The three-hook band feels snug around the ribcage, and the bra’s ‘square’ design lifts the boobs high, however our tester found a half-cup size upgrade gave the best fit. Of the three bras, we found this to be the least supportive, experiencing more bounce during jogging, even when using the racerback clip supplied. On the plus side, the ‘looser’ feel around the bust area allowed adequate upper body movement when bending and stretching, making it more tailored for mat exercises.
