Discovering skincare – The Exuviance range
In this multi-billion pound industry it can be hard to see the wood for the trees when it comes to skincare. We are almost left to make our own mistakes – buying and trying multitudes of product in the vain hope that eventually we will come across a great one that meets our expectations.
So I will bring you every couple of weeks a new skincare brand that you won’t have hear of but you definitely should try (if it matches your needs skincare wise)
First up under scrutunity is the Exuviance range by Neostrata.
I tried
Facial Cleanser, Evening Restorative Complex and the Day Cream SPF 15 over a period of 2 weeks.
What I liked
The Exuviance Purifying Cleansing Gel is excellent, it is soap free so your skin never feels tight after using it (as my cheeks often do with a “foamer” and I don’t like using milk) and leaves your skin clean and smooth. Contains Alpha and Polyhydroxy acids which should improve the skin’s texture (should it be required)
The Essential Daily Defence Fluid which was a superb oil free light moisturiser – I can’t bear anything heavy on my face in the mornings before applying make up so this is just perfect. It has a smell a bit like suncream (it has an SPF 15) which is most agreeable – you almost get the feeling you are in sunnier climbs. The moisturising effect lasts all day which is a great added bonus. It contains Vitamin E, chamomile and elder flower as well as Glycolic Acid (AHA) and Gluconolactone (PHA) which are effective at diminishing lines and wrinkles.
Finally the Evening Restorative Complex which promises smoother skin, with more elasticity and an improvement in fine lines. I’ve only been trying this for 2 weeks and the manufacturer’s clinical trials saw improvements after 4 weeks so will keep on using it. It’s loaded with botanicals, as well as Vitamins A, C and E – who work had to reverse any skin aging.
What I disliked
Not much actually, the price point is great, the claims and trials of the brand have shown to be trustworthy, I would say the only thing is the availability but you can buy these though The Cosmetic Practice
