Deep Heat Muscle Rescue
September is the month of activity holidays – usually a bit cooler than high summer and no kids running around on their bikes! Or you will most certainly need these if you are planning a skiing holiday this winter.
Deep Heat Muscle Rescue Neck and Shoulder Cream RRP: £5.99
They say;
A warming cream designed to help ease tension in stressed muscles. It contains a unique combination of vanilla and rosemary to give gentle but soothing warmth, with a pleasant herbal aroma. It has a soft sponge applicator to facilitate massage and so provides soothing, comforting warmth. In addition, it is in a convenient 50g pack so you can travel with it and fit into a coat pocket, handbag, sports bag or brief case. The applicator provides a soothing massage and means no messy cream on the hands.
We say
I was convinced this wasn’t working until a few minutes after application when you could really feel it penetrate into your muscles. I was never a great fan of the original or things like Tiger Balm, thick heavy and messy although they did do the job! This one is more relaxing aromatically and definitely more feminine. The sponge applicator is fine for small areas but this cream is designed for necks and shoulders so to be honest – you do really need to get your hands messy in order to massage it in deep enough and cover the surface area. Either that or get someone to do it for you – with necks and shoulders it’s often beneficial to have someone stand over you and massage the bits you can’t get to. Looking forward to using this during ski season as well. All that poling and craning to find your friends is hard on the body!
Deep Heat Muscle Rescue Bath Soak RRP: £5.49
Is a bath additive specially formulated to ease daily stress, aches and muscular tension. Key ingredients include electrolyte minerals and essential oils of rosemary, patchouli and orange. Electrolyte minerals are a combination of atomised sea water, minerals and trace elements, including magnesium, sodium, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, copper, iodine and chloride, which help to hydrate the body and help to prevent cramp.
Muscle tension affects millions of people in the UK everyday. Modern life often means dealing with a host of mental and physical stress triggers, all too often leaving us tired, with tense and stressed muscles after a long day.
We say – Not had a chance to try the bath soak as yet but anything with that mix of minerals in it should do a fantastic job – the basic Epsom salts will do the trick but add to that the lovely aromas creates a double layered experience of olfactory and physical.
Our muscles are faced with numerous attacks and challenges on a daily basis, from bad posture and physical activity to emotional stress and simply getting older. Work, commuting, looking after children, sports injuries and crouching over a computer can all take their toll on our bodies, leaving us feeling mentally and physically drained and our muscles knotted and uncomfortable. Muscle Rescue has been created to help!
New Research:

• Nearly 80 per cent of people suffer anguish from a stiff neck and two thirds suffer from tense shoulders (One Poll 2012)
• A third of people know they are stressed when they suffer from tense muscles, which stops nearly half from sleeping comfortably and 35 per cent from relaxing (One Poll 2012)
