Create your own fragrance kit
Fragrance is an incredibly personal thing – trying to track down a commercial perfume that sings every note you like is almost imppossible. It’s easy enough to track down certain “types” of perfume – eg a Chypre is fairly standard in that the top notes are citrus/bergamot, the heart is patchouli/mossy and the base is musk. So if you like one – you will probably like the others.
This lovely little kit from Prezzybox allows you to create a vial of your perfect combination. You get six little “notes” to work with – use the dipping sticks to work out which you like – then place a droplet on the card, one at a time and build up the fragrance till it smells the way you want it to. You need to try and remember if you use one droplet of x or two droplets of y as when you come to pipette into the big vial you will want to use the measurements on the pipette to get the dosage right.
It’s a really nice present for someone who enjoys fragrance. If they are a complete amateur, maybe a teenager this would be the best kit to start with as there are only 6 notes to play with – Ozonic, Fruity, Floral, Citrusy, Musky, Green For me – because I know a LOT about fragrance and the various notes – the “Master” kit would be preferable as there is a better range of notes including woody/amber ones for the base. The Master kit allows you to construct a fragrance. This kit -“Fresh” only allows you to create light and airy fragrances with no depth and therefore not very long lasting. But a lovely experience and great fun for girls to do together!
