Clarins Instant Lip Balm Perfectors – our top pick for springtime lips!

Spring time brings all the light and bright colours back into your makeup wardrobe – from pinks, sheer corals, oranges, hints of reds and shimmery nudes there’s a shade to suit everyone.  While winter is all about the crushed berries, the plums and the reds – spring is about sheers, pastels and shimmers.

Clarins Lip Perfectors come hot on the heels of their hit “Natural Lip Perfectors” giving women a sheer, moisturised and natural look.  The Natural Lip Perfectors were in a squeezy tube (not great if the dog gets a hold of it as mine did!) but easier to get the most out of the tube.  The application was through tiny holes in the sponge – delivering just about the right amount for glossy yet smooth and non sticky lips.

The Lip Balm Perfectors work in a slightly different way – firstly in a classic lipstick applicator – giving them a more grown-up feel.  Clarins say “Lips instantly look plump, smooth and luscious” and we tend to agree!

I found these lip balms to be illuminating, glossy and non sticky – they just left a wonderful swatch of colour on the lips and are a fantastic trade off betwee hydration and lip colour.  They contain Wild Mango Butter and Shea Butter for instant hydration and delivers moisture and comfort.

The colour range is excellent – from ultra sheer pinks to oranges and reds – there’s a colour to suit everyone.  The colour pay off for a lip balm type product is pretty good – the red lasts a good length of time before rubbing off.  But since it’s a lip balm you can keep applying with no drying effects.
