Aromatherapy Associates
Since 1985 – Aromatherapy Associates has been creating amazing skincare using the best and most beneficial of essential oils. They are now sold at exclusive hotels, spas and retail outlets in over 30 countries worldwide. They keep most of their ingredients natural as they feel they compliment the high grade essential oils – so you will find things like Damask rose water instead of plain water and vitamin and omega-rich plant oils such as jojoba, evening primrose & arctic strawberry seed oil and shea & murumuru butters. These have a natural affinity with essential oils, helping them to work to their best potential. Products are free from SLS and SLES.
What’s in their range?
Just about everything you can think of! Their body/bath range is focused on a set of states – such as Revive, Relax, De-Stress and Enrich. Choose your product based on your mood – shower oils, body gels and room fragrance to promote the mood you need to be in! The essential oils will do the job of getting you to that state!
Their skincare range focuses on 3 key areas – essential skincare (all skin types), anti-aging and soothing. Everything just looks gorgeous – it’s really hard to pick one thing – I know I’d easily drop £50-£100 in one go on this site.
What we reviewed;
Renew Rose Hydrating Body Gel– £29
Genius product. It’s summer – it’s 22 degrees at night here and the last thing I want to put on my legs/arms is a body lotion or butter. My skin isn’t that dehydrated due to various sun lotions and aftersun – so this light, refreshing gel is a godsend. Easily dressed afterwards too if you are heading out but lovely and cooling on the skin before bed. It also doesn’t smell too intensely of rose which is pretty good as it can be overpowering and contains evening primrose oils. Also comes in “Revive” fragrance.
Instant skin firming serum – £43.50
I’m a massive serum fan anyway – I like the idea it penetrates your skin deeper than the moisturiser does and i like their silky soft, quickly absorbed qualities. So I’ve tried a few! This is an excellent serum – it smells amazing but the ingredients are potent and effective. It contains larch and marine algae extracts for natural collagen production and to tighten the skin as well as rejuvenating pomegranate seed extract to protect from environmental damage.
Revive Bath and Shower Oil “Evening” – £37
Despite the slightly disconcerting feeling of apply oil before stepping into the shower – the principles of massaging the oil in while you are showering or allowing it to penetrate the skin during a nice long soak in the tub are obvious. Getting the beneficial oils deep into your skin to being repairing the cells. This particular blend is designed to Revive you for your evening activities so it’s perfect for pepping up the senses and great for getting in the party mood. Expertly blended with geranium, patchouli and ylang ylang
I also love the packaging on all the products – the shower oil comes in a box with a little bow and the lotions and gels are in clean, white packaging.
