Feeling fireside fabulous with jammies and prosecco
Snuggling by an open fire while it’s freezing outside is a primal feeling of warmth and shelter and belonging. For hundreds of thousands of years humans have huddled round a fire in their skins to keep warm and today not much has changed! Perhaps the fabrics we use and what our comfort food is but it’s essentially the same feeling.
We’ve handpicked some of our favourite snuggly garments for getting your fireside fabulous on!
Cyberjammies
We love these lightweight pj’s from online specialist Cyberjammies. The breathable cotton fabric means you don’t overheat while cuddled up next to the fire and the sleeves are adjustable making it easy to roll them up and get stuck into Xmas pud! Elasticated waist for letting out after too much turkey so you can lounge on the sofa. We were impressed the sizes went right up to a 22 perfect for wearing “boyfriend” style if you like that fit or just for covering curvy girls! There are loads of gorgeous styles to choose from – we preferred the plain one called Freya but if you like bold plaids or ditsy florals you will be spoilt for choice.
Bedroom Athletics
Do a range of lovely loungewear and their slippers are just to die for! Recently they released a range with the Liberty of London print but our staunch favourites (being Scottish too) are the Harris Tweed variety in pretty pink! Warm, durable, fabulous they are the ultimate in fireside lounging! The fleecy lining is real sheepskin so they will keep you warm but you won’t overheat as it’s a natural fabric and allows your skin to breathe. Kate Harris Tweed Slippers £50
For the moments you have to go into a colder room – having a fluffy bathrobe is absolutely essential – I can’t begin to describe how soft and fluffy this one is. It’s not like your usual fleecy robe – it’s much softer, like a poodle puppy must feel like! It’s addictively touchable! Teddy Fleece Robe from Bedroom Athletics currently £30
Prosecco and Christmas Pud in the Fireside Feast hamper courtsey of Debenhams Flowers which we review in full on another post!
